Research : Do Goodwin's Theories Apply to Current UK Music Videos?

Andrew Goodwin's 'Dancing in the Distraction Factory' was published in 1992. The world of the media was a very different place back then and future developments such as Web 2.0, the iPod, and Youtube were many years away.

So, is it possible to apply Goodwin's 6 basic points regarding music videos to music videos produced in the digital age?

The UK Music Video Awards is an annual celebration of creativity, technical excellence and innovation in music video and moving image for music.
Here are the winners of some of the categories from 2013's UKMVA's. (Please ignore the absence of capital letters - the text here is taken directly from the UKMVA website!)
You will be allocated one of these videos to discuss in relation to Goodwin's theories.
